Frequently Asked Questions — Bathing

What's the difference between a baby bathtub, a bath seat, and a bath ring?
A baby bathtub is a standalone tub, often used inside your regular bath or on a counter, generally suited from newborn up to around 6 months or until your baby sits up well. A bath seat or ring holds a slightly older baby (usually from around 6 months, once they can sit with some support) upright inside the family bathtub, freeing up your hands slightly while you wash them. Neither replaces the other exactly — many families use a tub first, then move to a seat once their baby is steadier.
What water temperature is right for a baby's bath?
Keep the water comfortably warm, not hot — test it with your wrist or elbow rather than your hand, since a baby's skin is more sensitive than an adult's fingertips. If it feels warm but not uncomfortably hot to your wrist, it's about right.
How much water should be in the tub?
Just a few inches is enough for a baby's bath — there's no need to fill it deep. Shallow water is easier to control and just as effective for washing.
When can I move my baby to the regular family bathtub?
Once your baby can sit up well independently, generally somewhere around 6–9 months, a bath seat in the main tub (or the tub itself with close supervision) becomes a practical option, though every baby's timeline is a little different.
Does a bath seat mean I can step away for a moment?
No — a bath seat holds your baby in position, it doesn't replace staying within arm's reach the entire time. Keep at least one hand on or near your baby throughout the bath, since even a few unsupervised seconds is too long around any amount of water.
Do you deliver islandwide?
Yes, islandwide delivery within 1–5 days.
